Outdoor Skating Rink Project
The boards and players boxes are almost complete!
The TVCC board and the Rink Committee are in need of new members! Please consider joining our team to help us work towards completing the rink project and to also bringing activities to the community.
If there were more people to help, less is required of each person. Volunteering is a great way to meet people in your community, and is very rewarding. We sincerely ask that you consider helping out. We would love to see new people on the board.....we need you, and your community needs you. Whether you are 18 or 70, we would appreciate your help. Our committee is made of up mostly new members and is a great team! Do you have experience applying for grants? Do you have new ideas for fundraising? Do you have construction experience? Do you just have some great ideas you'd like to share? Come on out and join our team! Let's all join together and create areas that our families can use for some good old fashioned fun and recreation!
The annual meeting is approaching soon on Monday, February 8 at 7:00 p.m. and we would ask that you please consider attending and possibly joining us!
Thank you to everyone who has volunteered or attended any TVCC events. Looking forward to seeing you soon.
Project News
We have been fortunate to receive a grant from the Government of Canada - Western Economic Diversification, towards Phase 2 of the project. A little more fundraising and we will be ready to complete Phase 2. The grant will be available summer of 2016 and will go towards the boards, warm up shack, storage shed, and flooding and snow removal equipment.
To date, we have raised over $85,000 through fundraising, grants, donations and work in kind contributions.
